We’re looking for a strategic, people‑focused and operationally excellent Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a key community centre, Ellenbrook Central. This role is the heartbeat of the asset — ensuring it runs smoothly, safely, efficiently, and to the highest possible standard. What You’ll Lead & Deliver People Leadership Build a high-performing, engaged operations team through coaching, clear expectations, and regular development conversations. Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure all compliance, health & safety, and performance processes are completed on time. Operational Excellence Oversee all operational elements of the centre — cleaning, security, maintenance, safety, presentation, and contractor performance. Lead emergency management procedures and ensure the centre meets all regulatory and compliance standards. Manage supplier relationships across key services including security, HVAC, vertical transport, ESM, fire systems, and more. Elevate the centre’s presentation through well-planned preventative maintenance, strong contractor management, and targeted capital programs. Partner closely with Retailers, Tenancy Delivery, Emergency Services, Local Council, and internal teams. Financial & Contract Management Manage the centre’s operations budget including outgoings, maintenance costs, utilities, capital programs and contract spend. Monitor, analyse and optimise operational expenditure to drive efficiency and value. Prepare and present operational and financial reporting to senior stakeholders and JV partners. Ensure all operational contracts deliver to KPI expectations, with quality documentation and ongoing reviews. Sustainability & ESG Lead and contribute to Vicinity’s ESG initiatives at the centre level. Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste and minimise the asset’s environmental footprint. Support the achievement of sustainability targets and compliance requirements. Proven ability to manage operational budgets and deliver projects on time and within scope. Experience with safety systems, emergency response, HSE frameworks, and risk management. Chief Warden training and exposure to emergency scenario management. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
